From a young age, I have always had a passion for adorning the walls of my parents' home with decorative art. I enjoy rearranging both artwork and furniture to create harmonious spaces. My artistic sensibility enables me to select the ideal colors, fabrics, and styles that cohesively complement one another. This creativity flourished further during high school and college, where I had the opportunity to engage in fashion styling and makeup for my friends. In 2009, I intended to attend the Academy of Design in Florence, Italy, to pursue a degree in Interior Design. However, after considering the significant expenses, language barriers, and challenges associated with translating Italian design principles back to the United States, I decided to remain in the country. I ultimately graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2009 with a degree in the History of Art, focusing on Architecture and Environment.
I have always harbored a passion for design. Whether immersing myself in HGTV magazines or watching shows like Fixer Upper, I find endless inspiration to craft my own design boards showcasing transformations of spaces that blend Moroccan, rustic, chic, beach, and Italian aesthetics, complete with appropriate furnishings. Additionally, I enjoy sketching product designs that range from artworks to watches, household furniture, lamps, and shoes. It would be a dream for me to design a hotel one day and own one. I’m always inspired by the designs inside the Vegas hotels. Growing up my inner creativity, had always been discouraged and frowned upon. It was difficult to explore and build upon my creative skills in design in a household that didn’t embrace it. I realized it is never too late to choose to pursue what you love. I had to continue telling myself to never give up. "You are your best encourager. "
Right before the pandemic, I had the opportunity to assist with styling an Indie Rock Artist “SONIK,” now “The Sonic Memes” band. SONIK’s brand did not match the new type of rock music he was creating. He had mismatched designs from his shirts to his pants. I encouraged him to step away from picking out tie dye and psychedelic clothing. So I offered to help pick out the right sets of clothing at various stores together. I provided the artist with suggestions of going for a bold and classic look — we found an amazing piece of yellow jean jacket at Zara that looked worn, trendy, but very modern. I said this is it! This jacket is your brand! These surfers came up to him asking if he was famous or something — right after he wore that jacket!
I knew I had just styled him unto “Rockstar” status! haha
To this day, I enjoy making artists feel who they are confidently. Embrace who they really are on the inside. But also not be afraid to express that to the world. I have this quote I came up with "Dreams are made,
when you can truly be free to be yourself!"
I love to help artists find that spark they possess and pull out that gold in them. The world have yet to see your true colors.
If you hide your light under a basket, how can you light up the world? You gotta find out who you are on the inside. Once you find out what that is --- then you can display it like a butterfly to the universe!
In addition to my love for design, I actively promote electronic artists and DJs, driven by a desire to see them ascend to prominent stages. My experience encompasses roles such as booking agent, tour manager, and social media manager. I relish the opportunity to connect and network within the music industry, thoroughly enjoying the chance to meet new people. If I were to host my ideal dance party in my dream home, it would feature everyone I have networked with, including artists, entertainers, and comedians, dancing to the beats of my favorite DJs, such as Nora En Pure, Worakls, Rufus Du Sol, Don Diablo, and Above & Beyond.
Christina, based in the states, is passionate about creating electronic music, cinematic tracks, and inspiring vocals. She aspires to have one of her compositions featured in a game or film. Additionally, she enjoys experimenting with EDM and House music, and is currently working on an electronic album that encompasses her favorite tracks in the Electro House genre.
